Incident Summary Day Shift Sunday 31st May

Time: 10:53 Location: Ripon

Crew from Ripon were mobilised to reports of a brown box emitting smoke in a field. On arrival this was found to be a false alarm caused by a diesel generator in operation.

Time: 11:46  Location: Harrogate

Crews from Harrogate and Knaresborough were mobilised to reports of smoke filling a house. On arrival this was found to be caused by cooking fumes.

Time: 13:43  Location: Eastfield, Scarborough

Crews from Scarborough assisted a carer gaining entry to a property as the occupant was not answering the door. Crew used a lock puller to gain entry. Occupant was found to not be at home.

Time: 14:32  Location: York

Crew from Harrogate attended a small fire in parkland measuring 3 x 3 metres. This was caused by a discarded disposable BBQ. Fire extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.

Time: 14:35  Location: Filey

Crew from Filey attended a fire to a commercial bin. Crew extinguished using 2 buckets of water.

 

During the day crews from York, Ripon, Malton and Harrogate attended automatic fire alarm activations. These resulted in false alarms.
