Incident Summary – Monday 7th September – Day Shift

Time: 09:33  Location: Cherry Farm Close, Malton

A crew from Malton responded to machinery on fire within a field. On arrival the fire had already been extinguished, crews assisted with dampening down using one hose reel jet.

Time: 11:19  Location: Little Broughton

Stokesley crew responded to a automatic fire alarm, this was confirmed to be a false alarm. Crews assisted with fitting a new alarm using a triple extension ladder.

Time: 12:20  Location: Beacon Way, Whitby

Whitby crew responded to a request from carers to help gain entry to a premises after the resident had accidently locked themselves in.

Time: 12:27   Location: Primrose Valley, Filey

Scarborough Crew responded to a request from Ambulance to help extricate a patient. Crews used crew power and left the casualty in care of Paramedics.

Time: 12:47  Location: Waterstead Lane, Whitby

Whitby crew responded to a person trapped in a lift. Crew used on site keys to release them and left the incident with engineers on site.

Time: 13:46  Location: Noels Court, Catterick Village

Richmond crew responded to an automatic fire alarm with no response from the resident. This was confirmed to be a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.

Time: 15:03  Location: Cawthorne Cresent, Filey

Scarborough crew responded to a request from Ambulance to help extricate a patient, crews used crew power and left the casualty in Paramedics care.

Time: 15:24   Location: Ryders Wynd, Richmond

A crew from Richmond responded to an automatic fire alarm at a residential building. This was confirmed to be a false alarm caused by a fault on the system.

Time: 15:48  Location: Station Road, Selby

Crews from Selby responded to a report of smoke being seen from an industrial premises. On arrival, this building was in the process of being demolished but a small fire had started. Crews used 2 hose reel jets to extinguish.

Time: 15:58  Location:  Newborough Street, York

A crew from York responded to an automatic fire alarm at a residential building. This was confirmed to be a false alarm caused by a fault on the system.
