Incident Summary – Day Shift – 8th September
11:16 – Haxby Road, York
York’s crew were requested by ambulance to assist with the difficult extrication of a patient from their property. On the arrival of crews, fire service was no longer required due to ambulance moving the casualty prior to their arrival.
11:49 – Harrogate Road, Harrogate
Harrogate’s second appliance responded to an automatic fire alarm, this was found to be a false alarm due to a fault on the system.
11:59 – Sleights, Whitby
Whitby’s crew were mobilised to assist with a patient that had fallen in their property. Crews used crew power to move them into a comfortable position and they were left with a first responder.
15:20 – High View, Burnt Yates
Harrogate’s crew were mobilised to a small fire, measuring approximately 1m by 1m, in the open that had spread towards a stable block. Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.
15:30 – A172, Ingleby Cross
Stokesley’s crew responded to reports of smoke being sighted off the A172, on further inspection this was found to be a false alarm due to controlled burning.
15:53 – Westbourne Road, Scarborough
Scarborough’s crew were mobilised to assist with releasing five persons from a lift. Crews used small tools and all persons were freed uninjured.
