09:08 – Stepney Road, Scarborough
Scarborough’s appliance responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential property. This was found to be a false alarm due to site maintenance.
09:51 – Seamer Road, Scarborough
Crews from Scarborough and Whitby responded to a single vehicle road traffic collision. On crews arrival, fire service were stood down by police and ambulance and the incident was left with them.
09:57 – Old Rugby Way, Scarborough
Scarborough’s appliance responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential property, this was found to be a false alarm due to testing of the system.
10:35 – Langborne Road, Whitby
A crew from Whitby responded to a bin fire. On the arrival of crews, the fire had been extinguished by a member of the public. Crews dampened down the bin using one hose reel jet.
10:51 – Melmerby Lane, Melmerby
Leyburn’s appliance responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential property. After a fully search of the premises, this was found to be a false alarm.
11:13 – Regent Street, Scarborough
Scarborough’s appliance were mobilised to an automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential property, crews found this to be a false alarm due to a faulty detector head.
11:24 – Bishop Wood, Cawood
Selby’s crew were mobilised to a campfire in the woods. Crews extinguished the fire using two knapsack sprayers, advice was given to the responsible persons.
12:28 – Leaholm, Whitby
Crews from Whitby and Lythe responded to reports of a tractor fire on farmland. On crews arrival, the fire had been extinguished by people on scene. Crews used a thermal imaging camera to check for any hotspots and left the incident with an agricultural engineer.
12:36 – Racecourse Road, Richmond
Richmond’s appliance responded to multiple activations of a fire alarm at a commercial property. This was found to be a false alarm due to dust in he detector heads.
12:59 – A64 East
Malton’s crew responded to a fire to the engine compartment of a vehicle. The fire was out on the arrival of crews, a thermal imaging camera was used to scan for any hotspots and the incident was left with a recovery company.
13:16 – North Marine Road, Scarborough
Scarborough’s crew responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential premises. This was found to be a false alarm due to a fault on the system.
13:34 – George Long Mews, Easingwold
Acomb’s appliance were mobilised to a residential property with a fire alarm sounding, this was found to be a false alarm due to a site test.
13:34 – Jugger Howe, Fylingdales
Whitby’s crew responded to reports of smoke that had been sighted by woodland. After a thorough check of the area, this was found to be a controlled burn under supervision. Advice was given to the responsible person.
15:15 – Upper Poppleton, York
Acomb’s appliance responded to a residential fire in the kitchen of a property. The fire was out on arrival of the fire service. Crews naturally ventilated the property and gave advice to the occupiers.
15:56 – Wellington Row, York
Tadcaster and Malton’s appliances responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding, this was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.
16:22 – Valley Drive, Harrogate
Harrogate’s second appliance were mobilised to assist with persons trapped inside a lift, crews used a lift key to free them unharmed and left the incident with a lift engineer.
16:34 – Hunmany Gap, Filey
Scarborough’s crew were requested by ambulance to assist with the difficult extrication of a casualty. Crews used crew power to transport them into the road ambulance where they were then taken to hospital.
